After sinking 150 hours into Balatro and finally beating a deck on the hardest difficulty, I realized I really, really like roguelike games. Steam must have realized this too because they started recommending me roguelikes like crazy.
One of these games was Dice a Million, a "balatrolike" with dice.

My family has an Easter tradition that I really like. When the kids wake up on Easter morning, they find a piece of paper in their room. This piece of paper has a clue. When they solve this clue, they discover the location of the next clue. After 8–10 clues, they find the big treasure: a basket filled with chocolate goodies and a video game.
One of my friends is a voracious reader. When he learned I did my undergrad at Brigham Young University (BYU), he asked me if I'd read anything by Brandon Sanderson, who teaches at BYU. I hadn't. He said I should, and so I did. I picked up a copy of The Way of Kings (2010) on Boxing Day last year and finished it today.
I have three portable, distraction-free devices. Two are laptop thermal typewriters, which I love. But my favourite is the AlphaSmart 3000, a dinky little word processor from the turn of the millennium.
